Peaceful Camping Pitches
At Huntick Retreat, we offer a peaceful, well-equipped campsite in the heart of Dorset’s stunning countryside. Whether you’re here for a weekend break or a longer stay, our park provides everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing holiday. Huntick Retreat is the perfect location for those who need overnight ferry stops as we are only four miles from the port in Poole.

Spacious Pitches, Beautiful Surroundings
Our caravan park features 18 fully serviced, hard-standing pitches, perfect for caravans, motorhomes, and small campervans as well as 15 grass pitches offering electric hook-up, perfect for tents, smaller caravans and camper vans. You can choose from sunny or shaded spots, all set in large open fields surrounded by greenery. It’s a quiet location, tucked away from busy roads, where you can truly enjoy nature and take in the scenic countryside views.
Each pitch has the option of a 10-amp electric hookup, which is great for powering your essentials. You’ll often see wildlife like hedgehogs, deer, foxes, and buzzards around the site, adding to the charm.
Dog-Friendly and Pet Considerate
We love dogs here, and they’re more than welcome! We have a small woodland dog-walking area, and we’re located near plenty of dog-friendly attractions such as woodland trails, pet-friendly cafes, pubs, and nearby beaches. To ensure everyone enjoys their stay, we kindly ask that dogs be kept on a lead while on the campsite grounds.
Our park is adult-focused, making it an ideal spot for those looking for a quiet, peaceful escape. Daytime visits with children are welcome between 10 am and 6 pm, but we maintain a calm, relaxed environment in the evenings, perfect for unwinding under the stars.
Local Conveniences
The village of Lytchettt Matravers offers a friendly pub, Tesco Express, and local amenities. It’s just one of the things that make Huntick Retreat feel like the perfect mix of rural tranquillity and modern convenience.
